Designer Xin Tong Redefines Entry Doors with Modular Integration

The Intelligent Innovation project is a unique blend of design and technology, resulting in an intelligent door that seamlessly integrates outdoor and indoor spaces. This door is not just about aesthetics; it's about functionality. It features fingerprint recognition, an electronic door viewer, and a modular integration design concept. This allows for the installation of different functional modules according to individual needs, making the door highly customizable.

The door's unique properties are realized through a combination of quick plug-in interface, information transmission, and other technical means. The management of the intelligent door relies on the Internet of Things, with the home network as the bearing form. It takes the home gateway as the core and relies on a unified management platform and business platform. The door's installation size of 2050mm x 960mm meets the general size standard, making it convenient for replacement and installation.

Interaction with the door is user-friendly and intuitive. It can be unlocked via fingerprint and password, with the fingerprint identification module located at the head of the handle. The door is equipped with an 8.4-inch screen for information display and password input. When someone approaches, the infrared sensor lights up the screen outside the door to display the preset screen. The door also features a 13.3-inch screen that can display information, manage the door body, and function modules.

The Intelligent Innovation project was developed and designed at the Prototype Innovation Factory of Yantai International Design Town, China, between April and November 2021. The project was driven by the need to meet new user demands in the context of the Internet of Everything. The aim was to make the intelligent door an integral part of people's home life, providing a safer and more convenient smart connected life experience.

The project faced challenges in expanding more functional modules under limited space size and changing the pattern and structure of traditional home living houses. However, these challenges were overcome, resulting in a new experience of Smart Life in the future era brought by the upgrading of smart things and smart houses in the Internet era. The Intelligent Innovation project was awarded Silver in A' Building Materials and Construction Components Design Award in 2022, a testament to its outstanding expertise and innovation.
